As a member of the National Energy Insights Panel, you receive "points" for joining the panel and for each survey you complete. These points can be redeemed for gift certificates to Amazon.com. In addition, each panelist who earns a specified number of points in 2008 will be entered into a prize drawing for one year's worth of free electricity for their home (value up to $2,000).

Earning Points

For joining the panel and completing the first survey, you receive 50 points. For each additional survey completed, you earn 10 points. Your current point total will be displayed at the end of each survey.

Redeeming Points

Once you accumulate 100 points, you may redeem them for a $10 gift certificate from www.amazon.com.

Alternatively, after you accumulate 150 points, you may redeem them for a $25 gift certificate from www.amazon.com.

Once you reach the 100-point and 150-point thresholds, we will inform you via email and provide you with an easy process to redeem your points for gift certificates.

Forfeiting Points

If you don't earn at least 100 points during a 12-month period (based on about six total surveys completed), your name may be removed from the panel, and any points earned will be forfeited. In addition, if you cancel your membership in the panel before redeeming points, any reward points you've earned will be forfeited.

Prize Drawing

In addition to the awards noted above, all panel members who accumulate 120 points by December 10, 2008, will be entered into a sweepstakes drawing for one year's worth of free electricity for your home (value up to $2,000). The drawing will take place in December 2008.
